Bio: Professor Maode Ma is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). He received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Computer Science at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 1999. He served on the faculty at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore for over two decades and was also a professor at the College of Engineering, Qatar University. His research interests include cybersecurity, artificial intelligence security, and computer networks. He has held chair positions, including conference chair and technical program committee chair, for more than 100 international conferences. Professor Ma has published nearly 550 international academic papers, comprising over 280 journal articles and more than 260 conference papers. His publications have received nearly 13,000 citations on Google Scholar. He has delivered close to 120 keynote speeches at various international academic conferences. He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief and editorial board member for several international academic journals. He was an IEEE Communications Society Distinguished Lecturer during the terms of 2013–2016 and 2023–2024.
